The Vonage Talk Alpha is now working in Canada. You can call any number in North America and it doesn't have to be a Vonage number. Vonage Canada finally got this to work. This is a great feature and it is free, calls don't count against your minutes, only out going calling though. |

Do you know if they consider Mexico to be in North America and if the same applies? |

I am not sure, I guess all you can do is try the number. I tried to call a number in the U.k but it doesn't go through and those are free calls with the unlimited plan. |

I tried calling Europe with out success. Roscopco, you said in an earlier post that you often travel to Europe, could you let us know if you were able to call North America from Europe? Love to know...
Thanks |

I am able to call North America from Europe using Vonage Talk, because I have a North American phone number.
You can only call North american phone numbers with Vonage Talk, and you have to have a North American account with Vonage. |

Just wanted to verify that it is working for calls from Europe to N.A. There was a post from another forum that said they had tried calling from the U.K. but couldn't get it to work so I wanted to verify with someone else who had actually tried it in Europe calling N.A. |

Once again the reason why I can call from Europe to North America is because I have a North American phone number and I am calling a North American phone number.
If someone is living in the U.k and has a U.k phone number then this isn't going to work. You have to log in with your Vonage user name and password and that tells the server that you belong to North America, it has no idea that you are in North America. |

I have downloaded Vonage Talk about a week ago.
I have never been able to place or receive call from it.
One thing true is that it place an entry in my simulring in my vonage configuration (web site) ... but I never receive call in my vonage talk.
Also, when trying to place a call, I receive an error telling me that "SIP Account is not connected".
Is there any setting I should be aware of ?
I have log-in using my username/password that I use on the web site.
Thanks for your help. |

I have been using it for over a year without that issue. Since it is putting the 011username entry on your vonage account it should work. I suggest you pose this question on the alpha vonage forum where you downloaded vt from |
