Ok I have a 7820N Brother All In One Laser Printer
What I have done before today:
Changed Baud rate
Changed Compatibility to Basic
**Rewire Fax to be first in line** see below.
Changed voice quality to maximum on Vonage site
What I have done today:
Changed to overseas mode
What I could try:
Changing the packet size through tech support
Ok at first i was recieving alot of poor line condition NG errors and faxes woudl fail quite often. Even though there was no other Internet usage, i would also recieve check readability messages after faxes were sent occasionally.
I called Customer service tech support or whatever Vonage calls it.
After a little fighting wih the guy (to understand me) he told me that the vonage adaptor is not powerful enough to push all my phones and my fax machine, and send faxes. I have one central location where all of my phone jacks are plugged into. So I decided to rewire the phone jack to where The blue and Blue/white comes out of the vonage adapter and goes directly to my fax machine, then It goes out of my fax machine onto the Orange and Orange/white to the rest of the phone jacks. I also have my alarm system hooked up and it is before the fax but that is a different topic.
Doing this helped out greatly with the NG error for poor line condition or line noise. It has made my check for readability errors more popular though. This i believe is still due to something on Vonage's side but I will try the overseas mode to see if that fixes my issues.
Hope this helps all.

Right did you see any difference with that... I got more faxes to complete with that. And at first I only rewired my cordless phone (we have 1 cordless phone and 1 corded phone) and that worked pretty well too) |

Yeah mine seems to be going through pretty good now I still get the check for readability page, but on the other end it seems to be going through fine... Is there a way to stop those check for readibility pages from printing? |

retardedness.. after spending way too much time trying to fix this, what happened was the v-portal i'm using auto upgraded it's firmware, and i think the newer firmware isn't working well w/ our 7820n. i downgraded and seem to get alot less problems. there's also a slew of options that like line and device changes that csr can do, but those didn't seem to help (they actually seemed to make things worse). |
