So far, very satisfied

After a slew of issues getting my local AT&T phone service set up and working in my new home (including a no show for a service appointment) I decided to give AT&T the boot and give vonage a try. I bought the Linksys VoIP box and easily connected it to my router and 3 handset cordless phone. It took a little while to get a dialtone after I signed up but once it started working, it was great. It's been great so far with my Comcast cable connection. I went with the 14.99 plan since I'm a light talker. For roughly 5 dollars a month less than AT&T would cost me, I am getting more features (caller ID, call waiting, and 3 way calling, ability to use my 500 outgoing minutes for long distance without additonal charges) and the call quality sounds great. the only problem i've noticed is that right when a call connect, usually the first word I say echoes but the rest of the call is crystal clear without any issues. I've yet to test it but I've got the call forwarding setup should my cable or power go out. Overall, with the final cost of the box after rebates being $90 in my pocket and getting more features for the money, I feel very happy with my choice. AT&T was charging alot for few features and their horrible customer service sealed the deal for Vonage. Overall I'm very happy.
